Clare Ozawa, Ph.D.

Clare Ozawa brings extensive operations and big pharma experience to Capsida’s board. Currently a Managing Director at Versant Ventures, Dr. Ozawa previously held leadership roles at Inception Sciences, including as Chief Business Officer and Chief Operating Officer. During her time at Versant, she led the creation and management of six new companies launched in partnership with academic researchers and major biopharmaceutical companies. Prior to her time at Inception, Dr. Ozawa worked in the Office of the CEO at Novartis, leading strategic initiatives for the Novartis Pharma Executive Committee.

Dr. Ozawa has a B.S. in biological sciences with honors and distinction from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in neurosciences from Stanford University Medical School.
